Material & Process
We offer flexible material options tailored to your requirements, including ductile iron (QT400-18, QT450-10), cast iron, and aluminum alloys. All parts are produced via advanced sand casting or investment casting processes, with strict control over dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Our castings can be supplied as raw blanks or fully machined, with optional surface treatments like painting, phosphating, or passivation for enhanced corrosion resistance.
Cast iron is mostly made of iron, with some carbon and a small amount of silicone. Cast iron is often used for valve discs due to its excellent wear resistance, good machniability, high strength, and relatively low cost. Ductile iron is an iron alloy made of nodular graphite, which has higher strength and toughness than gray cast iron. Baoding Guokun casting factory choose the ductile iron to produce valve plate because the ductile iron discs are low cost, low switching torque, good sealing and high wear resistance. But cast iron valve disc is only suitable for weakly corrosive fluid medium such as water, air, oil, etc. If you need corrosion resistance valve disc for acid, alkali, salt, seawater, sewage and other strong corrosive fluid meidum, please choose the stainless steel plate produced by Baoding Guokun. And we also can produce the nickel aluminum bronze valve disc by using investment casting or sand casting process.
GGG40, also known as ASTM A536 Grade 60-45-12, is a grade of nodular cast iron and has a predominantly ferritic structure. This cat iron offer good machinability, impact resistance, elongation properties, high electrical conductivity and excellent toughness.
