Baoding Guokun foundry specializes in OEM custom casting and precision machining of pump casing, pump volute and pump body castings for centrifugal pumps, self-priming pumps, booster pumps, clean water pumps and irrigation pumps. These castings are the key pressure-bearing housing components of water pumps, which enclose the impeller and form the flow channel to convert kinetic energy into fluid pressure for water transmission.

We support customized production strictly according to customers’ drawings, samples or technical specifications. Available materials include grey cast iron HT200, HT250 and ductile iron as required. Multiple casting technologies are optional, such as green sand casting, resin sand casting and shell mold casting, to meet different requirements on surface quality, dimensional tolerance and batch volume.

Cast Iron water pump body: Cast iron are also widely used in various pumps for industrial and civilian fields. Cast iron has excellent mechanical properties and can meet the requirements of long-term operation of submersible pumps. Baoding Guokun can use ductile cast iron ASTM A536 and gray cast iron ASTM A48 for submersible pump replacement parts, which have the advantage of low cost and are suitable for some pumps with limited economic conditions. We can choose the clay sand casting, resin sand casting, shell mold casting process to produce various pump components as per customer’s drawings or requirements. Our sand casting factory occupies a total area of 30,000 square meters, which have casting foundry workshop, grinding, sandblasting and precision machining shop, laboratory and warehouse. Baoding Guokun has equipped with 4 sets medium-frequency electric furnaces, 15 sets automatic shell core machinery, automatic sand casting molding line, 7 sets CNC machinery, 20 sets CNC Lathe, and the complete quality inspection devices for mechanical testing and chemical analysis, including tensile strength, hardness tester, metallographic inspection, spectrometer, ultrasonic testing and special testing devices. The process of Baoding Guokun sand casting involves several steps after producing a professional tool or mold, including:

1	Pattern Creation	A two-piece metal pattern is created in the shape of the desired part, typically from iron, aluminum or wooden material.For a single casting or small batches of castings, we prefer to produce to use the wooden material to manufacture the mold to save money for customers.For other sand casting parts in large quantity, we prefer to use aluminum or iron to improve the mold’s service life.
2	Mold creation	The two shell halves are joined together and securely clamped to form the complete shell mold. If any cores are required, they are inserted prior to closing the mold. The shell mold is then placed into a flask and supported by a backing material.
3	Pouring	The mold is securely clamped together while the molten metal is poured from a ladle into the gating system and fills the mold cavity.
4	Cooling	After the mold has been filled, the molten metal is allowed to cool and solidify into the shape of the final castings.
5	Casting removal	After the molten metal has cooled, the mold can be broken and the casting removed. Trimming and cleaning processes are required to remove any excess metal from the feed system and any sand from the mold
6	Machining	Machining as per drawings
