What is the common material for valve body?

Valve bodies can be made from a variety of materials, including metals and non-metals, depending on the fluid, pressure, tempreature and other factors. Baoding Guokun can cast the customized valve bodies as per the following metals:

Valve Body material
Cast iron valve body	more suitable for low pressure valves with working temperature between -15~200 °C and nominal pressure no more than PN16.
Ductile iron valve body	Stronger and tougher than gray cast iron valve body, making it more suitable for medium and low pressure valvess with working temperature between –30°C to 350°C and nominal pressure no more than PN40.
Carbon steel valve body	Suitable for water, steam, air, hydrogen, ammonia, nitrogen and petroleum medium. WCB valve body or WCC valve body is suitable for medium and high pressure with working tempearture range of –30°C to 425°C and nominal pressure can reach up to PN420.
Austenitic stainless steel valve body	Suitable for the valve of corrosive medium with working tempeature range of –196°C to 816°C. SS304 and SS316 is durable and resistant to corrosion, making it a good choice for a wide range of applications.
Cast copper alloy valve body	used in valves for oxygen and sea water pipelines, with a working temperature range of –273°C to 200°C.

How investment casting process works?

Baoding Guokun Investment casting stainless steel valve body’s steps:

1	Patterns Makings	Creating a wax mold of the desired stainless steel pump impellers, and then adding sprues to the wax model to create a tree-like structure.
2	Shell Building	Coating the wax pattern with a layer of fire-resistant paint, and then to be sprinkled with sand, so after a period of hardening, the surface will form a layer of fire-resistant thin shell.
3	Dewaxing	Removing the wax, the shell is placed into an oven, melting the wax so that it can run out of the shell.
4	Pouring	Pouring the molten stainless steel into the shell, and waiting for solidification under room temperature.
5	Post treatment	After cooling, knock the shell and cut the sprue gate by grinding machinery to achieve net shape impeller castings. Then shot blasting to move mill scales to assure the smooth casting surface.
6	Machining	CNC Machining & Balancing
