The casting motor bearing rear end shield and front end shield is an important and protective motor casting replacment parts that seals and shields the bearings within an electric motor, preventing contaminants like dust and moisture from entering while helping to retain lubrication, thus extending the bearing’s working life and improve the motor performance.

What’s metal casting process for cast iron motor end bracket?

Sand casting process is an industrial metal casting process that involves creating a mold from sand and pouring molten metal into it, generally used to cast the shaped parts of nearly any design, including large parts and those with internal passages. Baoding Guokun can produce various sand cast parts in cast iron, ductile iron, gray iron, low-carbon steel, mild steel, alloy steel for pump, valve, agriculture, railway, road, forklift, tillage, mining, automotive, medical, food, and aircraft, electric motor parts, etc.

1.Sand preparation: Mixing the silica sand with a resin binder and a catalyst that is conducive to hardening process.

2.Molding: Filling the sand and resin mixture to the sandbox, after assembling the mold which usually made of wood or aluminum. Please pay attention to the uniformity of resin sand filling. Uneven filling can lead to differences in sand mold strength.

3.Hardening: Hardening is very important in the furan resin sand casting process, which refers to the solidification and molding of resin sand in the mold. During the curing process, the resin binder undergoes a chemical reaction, making the resin sand hard and possessing a certain strength. The hardening time of resin sand is usually determined by the properties of resin binder and the required castings, and generally needs to be carried out under certain temperature and time conditions.

4.Mold Removal: Once hardening finished, the mold or pattern should be removed to form the required cavity of desired metal components.

5.Metal Pouring: Molten metal is poured into the above cavity.

6.Cooling: After the metal has cooled and solidified, the sandbox is broken apart to reveal the cast metal parts. Then we could trim, sand blasting and machine them according to drawings.
