What is hydraulic cylinder bracket?

As implied by the name, hydraulic cylinder mounts are a hydraulic replacement parts used to mount your cylinder to necessary fixtures, machinery and other surfaces. Baoding Guokun can produce different hydraulic cylinder brackets, clevis bracket, eye bracket and spherical eye bracket in mild steel and ductile cast iron.

A clevis bracket generally takes the form of a solid metal piece with a flat rectangular base, fitted with holes for bolts or machine screws. The clevis bracket has two rounded wings in parallel forming a clevis. The industrial mounting cylinder bracket produced by Baoding Guokun, are commonly used in aircraft and cars, clevis brackets allow mounting of rods to flat surfaces.

Metal process for hydraulic cylinder brackets

Drop forging is a highly valued metal forging process that uses a pair of impression dies and a heavy hammer to form and compress metal bars or billets into complex shapes. The steel forged clevis brackets are with high density, good mechanical properties and wear resistance, compared with casting cylinder brackets.

Baoding Guokun’s drop forging process

Investment casting involves pouring the liquid steel into a hollow ceramic shell. Once the liquid steel has cooled and solidified, the hydraulic cylinder mounting brackets will be casted successfully. The lost-wax investment casting technique are mainly used for mild steel, alloy steel and stainless steel eye bracket or clevis bracket. The investment casting cylinder mounting brackets are with tight tolerance, smooth finish and low-cost compared with drop forge cylinder bracket.

Sand casting is a metal casting method uses sand molds to shape and produce metal objects and components. Baoding Guokun can cast ductile iron ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12 or other cast iron to the customized brackets.
